The first step is to understand your own company - it's products, its staff and its needs. When we understand ourselves we can then tailor our search for new customer to meet our needs as well as those of the customer. Unlike the sales cycle, the marketing cycle is much longer term. As an analogy, Sales is to Marketing as a single day is to a year.The effects of marketing are slower to appear and have a correspondingly longer term effect. The long term plan is essential to marketing and impatience is its biggest threat. |
